Subra Iyer brings in over 21 years of experience in M&A advisory and transaction services, audit, restructuring and forensic investigations. Subra has advised and conducted due diligence services for global PE firms including KKR, Carlyle, CVC, Standard Chartered Private Equity, Southern Capital and Navis Capital.

Prior to founding SmartKapital, Subra served at PWC as a Partner, where he started and led the transactions practice that focused on commercial and financial due diligence. His other contributions to PWC include, starting the Business Improvement practice and leading the crisis management practice focused on restructuring and forensic investigations.

Subra actively invests in and mentors environmentally friendly technologies. He is currently involved with Biogro, an eco-friendly fertilizer startup. Subra is also an active member of several non-profit service organizations including the 'Executives Without Borders' and the 'Naandi' Foundation.

Subra graduated from NUS with a B.Acc(Hons) and completed his professional year with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He is a non-practicing member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore, a Life Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Singapore Ltd, and a member of INSOL International.

He has also completed the General Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
